Whether you are a stay at home mom, or employed full-time outside the home, most of us could use a little (or maybe more than a little) extra income, especially in these trying economic times. Below I have compiled a list of options for us all to try, so let's fatten our wallets together!

o Sell your plasma - Many states have facilities where you can donate plasma (the liquid portion of blood). The pay varies per state, as well as how often one can donate. Generally, the requirements to donate are that the donor is a healthy adult, who is not underweight, and without any recent tattoos or piercings

o Try out Homescan - Homescan is a program where you are asked to scan in the groceries you purchase with a specialized scanner that will be sent to you. The more you scan, the more points you are awarded - which can then be redeemed for prizes.

While it cannot hurt to try, I have heard mixed reviews of Homescan. It is legitimate, however it can take a lot of time and effort to earn enough points to make this program worthwhile.

o Mystery shop until you drop - Evaluate companies from the consumer point of view in exchange for a wage and, often times, free merchandise.

o Participate in online survey sites - While dubious claims of making $200 an hour are not generally feasible, you can expect to earn fifty cents to a dollar per survey at reputable survey sites. o Take on a paper route - Not just for kids, paper routes are an excellent way to make extra income while getting exercise. It's important to walk and not burn fuel, as a gas expense could really cut into your earnings on this one.

o Clean neighborhood houses - Post an ad in your local papers or Craigslist.org, and take care of all the messy homes in town. Where I live, people who offer homecleaning services command anywhere from 12-20 dollars per hour.

o Become a Chacha Guide - A what you ask? Chacha.com users text or call in questions, and chacha guides research queries online and earn 20 cents an answer. I've wanted to try this myself, however Canadians are not eligible to become guides.
