I have a blog about Yorkshire Terriers, so I set up an alert for Yorkshire Terriers and this morning, I got the 3 latest news items delivered to my e-mail box! Its great! Its going to save a lot of time and searching for those things I need and use on a regular basis.

Google Alerts are emails automatically sent to you when there are new Google results for your search terms. THIS IS LIKE HAVING A RSS READER FOR THE WHOLE INTERNET! Google has taken the concept of getting all of your favorite news in one place, a step further.

Simply visit the Google Alerts Home Page, enter your search, the type of alert you'd like (News, Web, etc.), how often you'd like them to check for results, and your email address. When you're done, click the 'Create Alert' button. They will send you a confirmation email; clicking the link in this email will activate your Alert. It's that easy!
